Barking up the wrong tree

The life and thoughts of the guy who remembers all the wrong things.

Name:
Location: Clemson, South Carolina, United States

I recently graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Civil Engineering. This job market has kept me unemployed so far. I'm a former Marine and a combat veteran. I read a ridiculously large number of webcomics, though I like printed books too. And if you know any good Korean-specific racial slurs, please let me know.

Directions

I've been going through these last few days and noting a recurring line of thought. And a radio story, every now and again this American Life is a really good program. And a Voice. I may be changing the direction of my life soon. That's okay though. I've still got all the wonder and joy and strength of everything I've done and lived, and the people that have filled my life, to take with me and comfort me on this new path. Assuming I have the strength to get onto it. We shall see.
It's good to have a goal in sight again.

May you be and feel loved on this and every day.

Rollin'

So, I have been rolling along this December, figuring out gifts to give and things to do. By the end of today I should have the basics of some extra characters for a gaming event with my friends. Which is good because I leave town the day after Christmas. Fun fun fun! Also tiring but that kind of happens.

I visited my aunt and uncle yesterday. We had good chats, a nice lunch, and I helped them with some house stuff such as fixing the shower and putting together the grill they recieved last Christmas. Both activities were very welcome.

Christmas is Sunday! I can barely contain my glee.

I've been slack about my weekly communications. I hope to fix that as well as my exercising slackness.

Ha!

I told you victory was mine.
I aced all of my coursed this semester. Just as nice, I have completed my caster class. Once I finish the magic system and darkness points I shall have nothing left but the political and cultural design of my new gaming world, what many designers call the 'fun stuff'.

Of course, there have been setbacks. I lost internet and telephone on Monday afternoon when my provider had some sort of massive failure. Most annoying and enlightening at the same time. I learned just how dependant I'd become upon the internet for all my communication and entertainment. The loss of it was more distressing than my lack of phone. Even worse, I found out after service was restored, my friends had begun to panic and were about seven hours from calling my neighbors and then the police in an effort to check up on me and ensure that I was okay. I appreciate their concern but I am upset that this situation made them less happy at a time of stress in their own lives.

No, really. Victory Is Mine!

Wheee! I have survived another semester. The proof is that I completed the last of my final exams today.
WHEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Not that I didn't enjoy some of my classes. Public Speaking was surprisingly interesting and informative and English Literature I was the best English class I've ever taken and one of the best classes I've ever taken (that includes the classes on using claymore land mines). However, it's over, I live, and I shall pass.

So, I am happy.
Myriad other stuff to do but hopefully I can get that taken care of quickly. I'm just about done with the X-Mas gifts (wow, that's still ugly, back to Christmas) for everyone. Pesky relatives and friends ;) Also, I may have time, and no excuses, to make those brownie-cheesecake things. So decadent.
